Layouts

There are two distinct layouts associated with the search results page. You can learn how to set your preference in the section on searching. The purpose of having two layouts is to provide some flexibility for users and give them one option that feels closer to the layout of previous versious of the application.

Hauler Layout

This layout is closer to what users have experienced in previous versions of the application. Dumpster prices are collected underneath the hauler's service area that they pertain to. To view the prices for a given service area you will need to click on that service area's box and expand it. Inside of that expandable box you will see all the pricing records for all waste types for that hauler's service area.

Search Text

Search text is a carry over from the last version of the application. As the vendor relations team progresses in managing and updating data this content will likely change or be removed completely.

These expandable boxes consist of a few important elements:

  1. The service area color - located on the left
  2. The hauler and service area name
  3. The search text

The colors on each expandable box are coordinated with service areas on the map. When you hover over the expandable boxes the corresponding service areas should become highlighted on the map or the mini map.

Dumpster Layout

Unlike the hauler layout, the dumpster (or product) layout is not organized by hauler or service area. The dumpster layout will list every product from every hauler's service area that could provide service based on your search. This might look overwhelming at first because there will be many prices displayed immediately. However, this view is meant to streamline a sales team member's interaction with a customer.

The primary focus when using this layout should be to filter out results that do not pertain to the customer's needs. After filters have been applied the list becomes much shorter and more specific to the customer's project.

This layout includes the same pieces of information as the hauler layout:

  1. The service area color - top left
  2. The hauler and service area name
  3. The search text
