Pricing

Pricing is imperative to a good quoting experience for the customer as well as for the sales team. For this reason we've tried to stream line and improve the pricing management process. Much like service areas, pricing will be added, edited, and deleted from the hauler's page that it belongs to. Below we'll cover the particulars of managing pricing.

The Pricing Form

Adding and editing pricing information will utilize the same form. There may be slight variations in some situations but you will typically see a form that accepts the following:

An Empty Pricing Form

  • Brand the brand this price should be tied to - this will typically be Budget Dumpster
  • Product differentiates between front load and roll off dumpsters - this will typically be Rolloff Dumpster
  • Cost Structure describes how this product is charged (ex. haul plus disposal or flat rate)
  • Size the volume of the container
  • Waste Type what can go into this dumpster
  • Our Cost what the hauler charges us
  • Customer Price what the customer will be quoted when calling
  • Tonnage the tonnage/weight limit
  • Our Cost Per Ton Over what the hauler charges us per ton if a dumspter is over weight
  • Customer Price Per Ton Over what the customer is charged if the dumpster is over weight
  • Rental Length the length in days the customer can keep the container
  • Our Cost Per Day Over what the hauler charges us per day if rental period is exceeded
  • Customer Cost Per Day Over what we charge the customer per day if the rental period is exceeded
  • Cost Structure Notes any contextual notes regarding cost structure
  • Extra Day Cost Explained notes any specific rental period information
  • Product Notes any general notes related to this product

Customizations (optional)

  • Sell as Size if, for example, we are offering a 20 yard (size) dumpster but selling it as a 10 yard - this would be set to 10 yard
  • Custom Length/Width/Height used to call out if the dumpster's dimensions are not industry standard

Fill Types

These is a chance you will see different options in this section. Depending on the Waste Type (above) that is selected you may see checkboxes for yard waste, stumps, appliances, electronics, and mattresses. These are typical note worthy items that may or may not be accepted in a dumpster. If the Waste Type selected happens to accept special items these fill type will show concrete, dirt, brick, block, gravel, asphalt, and leed. If the Waste Type selected happens to accept both normal and special you will see all of the above.

When any of these boxes are checked you will have the option to attach a note to describe any exceptions to the hauler's ability to accept it. To add a note just click the Add Note text just to the right of the check box. If a not already exists and you would like to edit it this text will read Edit Note - just click to edit.

Sorting and Filtering Pricing

We've added prices in a 'card' format to, hopefully, make them easy to scan and read quickly. However, if a hauler has a large amount of pricing associated with it, it may be easist to just filter down or sort those cards those card by the size(s) and waste type(s) you want to see.

Pricing Cards

Sorting

If you want to re-arrange the pricing cards by either size or waste type you will find a Sort By drop down just above the pricing cards. By default it is set to Default but can be set to either Waste Type or Size. When a change is made the cards will re-arrange given your selection.

Filtering

If you want to remove pricing cards that don't pertain to what you are looking for you can use the filtering option. It will be attached to the lower left portion of the screen and will display all the available sizes and waste types. To filter by size(s) or waste type(s) just check the boxes and the cards that do not meet your criteria will not be displayed.
