Managing Haulers
Haulers are the most important pieces of information within the application. They provide the service area boundaries and the pricing information that is criticial to our daily operation. We've done our best to make managing such critical information as easy as possible.
Finding an Existing Hauler
To find an existing hauler you'll need to navigate to the Haulers page from the main navigation. This page will given you a full list of all the current and available haulers. We work around the country with hundreds of different haulers so this list is bound to be large. If you know the name of the hauler or the geographic area (due to our naming convetion) you are looking for you can search this list to narrow things down substantially. Just start typing in the Search For Haulers input at the top and the application will begin to find results as you type.

Adding a New Hauler
If you find yourself in need of adding a new hauler it is as simple as navigating to the Haulers page from the main navigation and hitting the Add Hauler button. This will pull in a new hauler form. The new hauler form consists of the following information:

The Hauler Information Form
Managing an Existing Hauler
When you are looking to edit the information for an existing hauler you'll need to navigate to the Haulers page from the main navigation, search for the hauler you would like to edit, and, from your search results or the list of haulers, select the hauler you would like to edit.
On the hauler's page you see it's service area map with service area information and the hauler information form directly below. To edit the hauler information just find and hit the Edit button below the hauler information form. This will unlock the form for editing so you can make your changes. Once you've made all of your changes you can hit Save and the new information will be saved.
Tip
The same requirements that apply to adding a new hauler apply to editing. If there are problems with the information you've entered into the form the save button will become unavailable till the errors are fixed or the requirements met.
Hauler Availability
Hauler availability is immensely important information not only for the service team to know when a hauler can perform services but also for quoting and search results. Users who search for quote information will be able to filter their results by the values set in this area. This goes a long way in helping the team to find the perfect fit if a customer has specific needs for service times (ex. need the dumpster delivered tomorrow).
To edit existing or create new hauler availability just find the Manage Availability button at the top of the hauler information form. This will swap out the hauler information form for a the availability stepper. The stepper will walk you through all of the available service types and allow you to set one or multiple availabilities for each. The available services are:
- New Deliveries delivering a new dumpster to a customer
- Empty and Return picking up a full dumpster, disposing of the contents, and returning it to the customer
- Swap deliver an empty dumpster and pick up a full one from the same customer
- Pick Up final removal of a dumpster from a customer
Stepper Services
For all of these services you will be able to set one or multiple availabilties based on the hauler's capabilities. The availabilities are:
- Same Day perform the service the same business day
- Next Day perform the service the next business day
- Window provide an approximate 1-7 day window that the service can be performed
- Saturday service can be done on a Saturday
- Sunday service can be done on a Sunday
Availability Options
Apply To All/Reset All
If you know that a hauler has the same availability for all services you can just fill out New Deliveries and hit the Apply To All button. You can still update all the other services but the data in New Deliveries will be copied to all services. Likewise if you need to start fresh just hit Reset All to wipe all values for all the services.
As you select the availabilities that apply to the current service you will see forms added to the page. Depending on the availability you have selected (window is a little different) the forms can look a little different. The forms will accept the following:
- Cut Off Time the time we need to notify the hauler by for this service to be scheduled
- Must Call the hauler requires that we call them to schedule this service for this time
- Verified if the hauler has agreed to this availability ahead of time they are verified
- Notes any contextual notes needed to pass on to users
- Window Start/Window End only applies if window has been selected and defines the approximation (ex 2-3 days out for a service)

After you've gone through all the steps to add availability to the services you will be able to review what you've set in the Review tab. If you've found that you've made any mistakes or need to go back you can click on any of the serivces in the stepper or just hit the back/next buttons.
Example of a Service Availability Review
Once you've reviewed the availability information you can now save it for the hauler. Also if you would like to auto generate an alert to notify users of the change you can check the checkbox Generate New Hauler Alert. This will create a preformatted alert message and apply it to the hauler to let users know the availability has changed.
Hauler Service Info
Hauler service info is currently only general notes about the hauler. If these notes are set they will be available for users to view in search results. Be sure no senstive information is put into this field as it will be widely available to all users.
