Expiration and Check Back

There are some new and helpful alert management features included in this version of the application. These features were added to help automate some of the cleanup that has to happen day to day to make sure the most recent and accurate alerts are shown to sales and customer service team members.

When you select an option to add an expiration or checkback date you will be prompted to select a date from a date picker.

Automatic Expiration Dates

We've added an option to automatically expire an alert on a given date. When creating a new alert you will be able to select Set Expiration Date before you save the new alert. When the date you've selected has been reached the application will automatically remove the alert for you. These are especially helpful for instances where a hauler knows they'll be out of dumpsters for a certain number of days. This way, after that period has passed, the alert will remove itself and the users will know that they are good to place orders again.

Warning

When an alert is expired it will be deleted. For this reason expirations should be considered for use in instances where the ending date is known ahead of time.

Check Back Dates

Check back dates are similar to expiration dates but the alert will not be deleted. Right now an alert will be flagged once it's reached it's check back date and they will be able to be filtered on the 'alerts' page. These are a good alternative to expirations when the end date may not be set in stone or verification is needed before removing the alert.
